Windham County documents, 1772-1868.

A collection of assorted documents from various towns in Windham County. There is a 1772 deed of Gamaliel Badcock of Lebanon, Connecticut; several summons and a writ of execution, 1774-1775; a deed of Daniel Allan of Woodstock, 1781; a copy of Plainfield resident Esther S. Griffith's 1857 will; and a letter to William H. Law of Norwich from William E. Niblack of Indiana about a bill before the U.S. House Committee on Naval Affairs. Of particular interest, but undated, is a copy of an address to the Windham Monthly Meeting by Ruth Hustin, who was not a member of the Society of Friends. She admonished parents about dressing their children and themselves too finely.
